Hey people,
Today was all about patience. The overnight session did the heavy lifting, grinding up nearly 40 points into RTH, and when we opened above vwap the stage was set. But it wasn’t a free run higher. We spent the better part of the morning and midday session pinned between two walnut blocks, 7273 at the bottom and 7291 at the top, chopping back and forth with neither side able to land a clean blow. That lower walnut held every time sellers had a go, and buyers just kept quietly defending it.
The breakout came in Move Three when buyers finally cleared the upper walnut block and never looked back, grinding all the way to the 2nd upper band at 7300 before a gentle profit-taking fade into the close at 7287. It wasn’t explosive, but it was convincing. Clean structure, buyers in control, and we closed firmly above both walnut blocks. Tomorrow brings ADP Nonfarm Employment at 08:15 and with NFP on Friday the tape is going to be very sensitive to any labour market surprise. Keep your position sizes sensible.
